{"id":1096,"date":"2017-10-10T16:10:37","date_gmt":"2017-10-10T20:10:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/elkforest.com\/?page_id=1096"},"modified":"2025-06-09T18:34:12","modified_gmt":"2025-06-09T22:34:12","slug":"civic-association-purpose-and-officers","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/elkforest.com\/?page_id=1096","title":{"rendered":"Civic Association Purpose and Officers"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><u><strong>Elk Forest Civic Association<\/strong><\/u><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Purpose of Your Civic Association<\/span><\/strong><br \/><span style=\"font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12px;\">The Elk Forest Civic Association is comprised of residents working together to improve the community and manage concerns common to all residents of Elk Forest.\u00a0 Officers volunteer their time to consider issues and to execute decisions that improve the quality of life in the community.\u00a0 The EFCA is NOT a homeowners&#8217; association,\u00a0 but a civic association.\u00a0 Membership is voluntary and open to all property owners in Elk forest.\u00a0 You do need to be a paid-in-full household to be able to vote on issues that come up for a vote at our public meetings.\u00a0 Because of the voluntary nature of the Association, the annual $85 dues (dues and mosquito abatement fee) are not formally levied on homeowners, but annually requested.\u00a0 If all residents do their small part by joining, volunteering and contributing, the Civic Association will continue to have a positive and <u>cost effective<\/u> impat on our elk forest Community!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 18px;\">Elk Forest Officers and Board Members<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12px;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\"><em>Please contact any board member with questions, issues, community needs and ideas.\u00a0 The term for these positions is 2 years with additional definition identified in the By-laws as\u00a0 &#8220;The <span style=\"font-size: 8pt;\">elected<\/span> Officers and Directors may serve a limit of 2 consecutive 2 year terms in any position.
